Support periods for pyrolyzers and accessories

OVERVIEW
The support periods for the pyrolyzers and accessories are described here for each model. The support period for the Frontier Lab’s products is seven (7) years from the date of product sales termination; however, we will strive to continue our support after this period is over. Depending on the parts supply from manufacturers, we may not be able to accept repair orders.

Downloading of PY-2020iD/iS control software (Version 3.04)

OVERVIEW
This version of the control software for Double-Shot Pyrolyzer (PY-2020iD) and Single-Shot Pyrolyzer (PY-2020iS) fixes the problem in which the temperature calibration value stored in memory is erased.

For some units of PY-2020iD and PY-2020iS which have been delivered more than five years ago, the capacity of the internal battery used for memory backup of temperature calibration value is decreased and the calibration value in memory may be reset, if the unit is left unpowered for several days. If this is the case, the actual furnace temperature is lowered by 5 to 20 °C ( at 550 °C furnace temperature). This version of the software has addressed this issue.

Termination of support for Auto-Shot Sampler with ball-valve mechanism

OVERVIEW
Two types of mechanism, i.e., ball-valve and gate-valve mechanisms exist for Auto-Shot Sampler (AS-1020E). The support for the Auto-Shot Sampler with the ball-valve mechanism will be terminated on December 31, 2014.

We would recommend that those customers who use Auto-Shot Sampler with the ball-valve mechanism consider purchasing the Auto-Shot Sampler with the gate-valve mechanism. For the details of the support termination (pdf file): Click here
